had the exacta, for a moment thought the 1 was going to hold on, 1-3 was 3x the 3-1 paid!

netsfan3 I was rooting for the 1 to win. I knew the 3 was going to pay almost the same for place as to win. So, I played it to place. I was doodle farting around, as I do at times. And I just had to put in a bet at the last second. My wife and daughter were nagging me to go down and watch television with them. I'll see you at Remington.

Watching tv last night, missed the 11th at NORTHFIELD. No big deal. ONLY TAKE CASH won at 1/9. That is the lowest paying track in the country. The favorite seems to win the first race every race night about 75% of the time. 2nd choice about 15% of time. First race 1/9 last night.

Spinning wheels at 10:45 at night.

preciousbunny I get home at 11.30 pm and have to get my picks in because tomorrow is my last day working at the Canadian National Exhibition for the University of Guelph-Equine Guelph. I'm dead tired and have no patience for this

Typical 1st race at NORTHFIELD. ISOWANTAPETROCK bet down to 1/9 on last click. 4/3 exacta pays $1.85 for a $1 bet. Track is sloppy, so there could be a few upsets tonight. I'll bet maybe the 10th and 11th races. College football on Sunday night.

lost $4.00 on the day, call it cheap entertainment.

netsfan3 Yes. I have explained to people for many years that idea. Light betting is not harmful to one's health, like drinking or smoking. Going to a Giants or Yankees game will set you back a lot of cash, and there is driving involved. Say, I bet $12 on 3 races tonight at NORTHFIELD. Almost never do I lose all 3 races. I might go back and forth tonight between the computer and the television set. Want to watch the Oklahoma versus Houston football game tonight.

6 out of 8 Beaver is the trainer!

netsfan3 That means Beaver horses are sure to make at least 23% of $300,000. But, is there a Beaver Leaver or a Beaver Achiever in the bunch? Gee, I must be getting old. I had trouble remembering EDDIE HASKELL'S name. Met a lot of guys like Haskell in my life. Ultimate ass kissers. Most can now be found in what used to be called the Republican Party.

Is there a more sure winner today then #2 ONLY TAKE CASH in the 11th race at NORTHFIELD tonight. Horse is listed 6/5 on the morning line. He is 16 in the money out of 16 lifetime starts. You got to pick the low hanging fruit when it's there. Aunt Rose for 2nd in exacta if the top choice goes to 1/9.

have 6 small bets in for today! throwing crap in the fan seeif it sticks kinda bets!

netsfan3 Speaking of NJ banks. I have had a great relationship with CROWN BANK for years. They do just about anything I ask to keep me happy. Capital One Bank will lose me as a depositor in the next week. Will I ever pay a bank negative interest rates like the Germans are doing? I remember the days around 1981 when I took my fiancé (now my wife) to Staten Island to make a deposit in GREEN POINT SAVINGS & LOAN. I got a free toaster, and she got $100 gift for my high interest CD. Those were great times for savers. Back then toasters lasted around
10 years. Now, they last about 2 years.

If you seen the race you may have choked on your pretzel!

netsfan3 We watched a couple of comedy specials by John Mulaney on Netflix. Guy is very humorous. I did watch the race at Woodbine. I have been in some disagreements on TWITTER about Montrell Teague. His father is a great trainer. The son is an o.k. driver. But, not great. Making a quarter move after a 25.4 first quarter I believe cost LATHER UP the victory. I actually did notice that up to post time there was unusually large place bets on the 6 horse. Was tossing around the idea of playing a 5-6 exacta. But, only played the 1 race at Saratoga all day.

There are some who think LATHER UP will get upset in the 8th at Mohawk tonight. I will miss it tonight. But, it sure looks like a 5-1 exacta to me. The family wants me to watch a film on Netflix and eat pretzels tonight. Maybe, have a beer.

Through 9 races at Kentucky Downs only 1 favorite has managed to hit the board. He was 2nd in the 6th race. Not a track for chalk lovers.

KatiesDaDa I didn't play last year but the year before I was in the middle. I miss playing Emerald Downs. I was consistently top 75-100.

A twitter associate told me FAMISHED was a sure thing in the 5th at Saratoga. I thought so upon looking at the form. Only 2nd bet I have made at Saratoga this meet. He won at even money. It was not easy. No favorite has hit the board at Kentucky Downs first 5 races.

netsfan3 4 MORE LONGSHOTS IN THE 4TH AT KENTUCKY DOWNS. I forgot I bet Saratoga on Travers Day.

i'll check odds before pt, most likely pass on it, jmo anyone of 5 can win it

netsfan3 Just watched the 1st at Kentucky Downs. The audio didn't work. That is one crazy ass turf course. Didn't have the past performance for the race. I don't know who designed that turf course. Like none I have ever seen. This looked like 1 of those English races with 25 horses coming from everywhere. Have no confidence to play the 8th or 9th. Up the hill, down the hill. Left hand turn, right hand turn. Stop at Wendy's for a cheeseburger. I'll pass, as well.

#2 NEXT SHARES in the Kentucky Downs 8th is worth a shot at 7/2, even with 14 horses entered. Horse has made over a million and a half on the turf in graded stakes races. He seems to be working well for his return. Wide open race, with too many horses entered.

ladyjumpers ive been to ky downs. its awesome

    can't win them all!

netsfan3 Was surprised by a couple of things in that race. Neither the 1 or 2 left at the start. And the 1 was dead cover to follow. Buter had to follow the 1 at the half. Gonna see if I can get the past performances for the 1st, 8th or 9th for Kentucky Downs tomorrow. They are TVG MONEYBACK RACES. I think my nemesis ANDY MILLER won the first 6 races at Freehold today. He has killed me in the BIG M contest every year.
